Failure is often defined as the opposite or lack of success in doing or achieving something. It can also be a state, act or condition of not reaching  a desirable outcome and not being satisfied with the results of it. (Cambridge Dictionary, 2022). Who doesn’t relate to that feeling of being drained, exhausted, and near to giving up? Those moments can be extremely challenging, but they make up a very important part of every person’s life.

Failing is an extremely important part of building mental resilience. Without failing it’s hard to recognize, cheer success and true accomplishments. We all know that failing is the most important part of growing and learning from your own mistakes, but we often tend to forget that failing is normal. (Noonan, 2019). In fact, human evolution and organic evolution in general, is based upon the fact of failure; For millennials, organisms have adopted an empirical way of evolving, where failure is the main influence of knowledge.

Failure has underlying characteristics to human existence. We tend to forget that empirical learning is often the most efficient. Being exposed to only the good parts of everyone’s lives distorts our perception of reality, in which failure is necessary.

The Flop-card can help carry on and not be afraid of misfortunes and failures while gaining important life experience. The moment of rewarding is also a playful way of practicing self-gratitude and self-care. Which is connected to strengthening one's own self-esteem and self-image. (Howells, 2022). The most important aspect of a prototype is celebrating and cherishing failures, which helps to change your focus from achieving to actually learning, experiencing, and not being afraid of experimenting.
